A couple of weeks back, I had the wonderful opportunity to work with up-and-coming Toronto music artist, Shalli, on a promotional shoot. It was a pleasure to work with this beauty. The crew was treated to a special live performance as she worked it in front of the camera! The girl can sing!!! Be sure to check out Shalli's myspace page to hear the talent behind the looks. Listen out for her single "All About Love" coming soon to radio and a club near you!

I’ve been talking a lot of lip lately, as I love the look of razor sharp edges when it comes to doing up the lips. The MAC 311 Lipliner Brush is the perfect tool for achieving this. The brush has a small span that allows for precise lip application. [Remember the smaller the tool, the more control you have over where product goes (but the longer it takes, of course!).] I love using this brush on photoshoots when I sometimes skip using lipliner for a softer lip look. The brush also works well with cream make-ups; I use it with my Make-up Forever Flash Colours and it draws on with pencil-point precision. The 311 brush can very well be used as an eyeliner brush - just be sure to clean and disinfect it thoroughly between uses! Multiple uses with one tool makes this brush a definite make-up artist fave.

I'm so excited!! Here's a sneak preview of some photos from last night's shoot with Nadia. The shoot took place at none other than Toronto's finest Fiorio salon and spa by Yonge & St. Clair (I know - kinda a big deal, right?!). It was a gorgeous location and a super team that came together. This is one of several looks we did for the day. Nadia was super impressive behind the lens setting up shots and moving her body around just as much as our gorgeous model, Katie. I can't wait to see what else Nads has up her sleeve, and of course, I'll be sure to post them!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! This weekend was a busy one - just wrapped up a wicked photoshoot with a super team, including photographer Nadia Cheema, who I collaborated on this project with. I'll post some of the behind the scenes photos later this week (need some sleep first!). I can't wait to see the end results - I'll post them as soon as I get my hands on them. You won't be disappointed - Nadia is such a talent and pleasure to work with. I can't wait to do more creatives with her in the upcoming year!
